Fleet Foxes: Reminiscent of what Folk-rock music was during its heyday, the guys from Fleet Foxes are quickly reviving an entire genre. Fleet Foxes tour dates are currently scheduled internationally throughout Summer, 2011 in support of their upcoming sophomore effort, "Helplessness Blues."

The Seattle based group began as a duo when Robin Pecknold and Skyler Skelset met in high school. They quickly formed a bond over their musical idols, Bob Dylan and Neil Young, and sought to create original music from that generation's mold. With Pecknold on vocals and Skelset on guitar, the duo quickly began to garner local attention for their throwback style. They got their break when they were noticed by Seattle based producer, Phil Ek, who had produced records for the Shins and Modest Mouse. Ek helped them produce their debut EP, "Fleet Foxes," which they sold at their performances. Fleet Foxes concert dates were booked at local Seattle venues in support of the EP.

By the end of 2007, the band was attracting attention through their MySpace music page and through word of mouth from their awesome live shows. The publicity soon reached the desks of A&R execs and the band was quickly signed to Seattle based label, Sub Pop. During this time, the band quickly compiled a sophomore EP, "Sun Giant," that they had only intended to sell on the road. The EP became a fan favorite and gained industry attention with Billboard and Rolling Stone praising their Crosby, Stills, and Nash inspired harmonies. Fleet Foxes concert performances were booked at 2008's SXSW festival in Austin as well as the Sasquatch! Festival in Europe, where they were also well received.

Fleet Foxes concert schedule included a 2008 national headlining tour and a brief visit to Europe. The duo expanded to a foursome with the addition of Christian Wargo and J. Tilman on guitars and drums. The group quickly ushered themselves into the recording studio to craft their self-titled debut LP in 2008, which was released in June. The album received a four star rating from Rolling Stone and was heralded as an "instant classic" by the UK's "Guardian". The album was commercially successful in Europe where it sold 200k plus copies and gained platinum status in the UK.

Fleet Foxes tour dates were scheduled internationally in support of their debut. Their concert dates in Australia and the UK were completely sold out! Following the hype, the band booked performances on Saturday Night Live and dates across Europe during 2009. More recently, the band is gearing up for the release of their sophomore set, "Helplessness Blues," this May, 2011. Pecknold has stated that the album was inspired by sixties psychedelic folk-rock and that they intended for the album to have a raw and genuine sound. To support the upcoming sophomore set, Fleet Foxes concert dates have been announced and they will make stops across North America and Europe throughout Summer, 2011. A good portion of Fleet Foxes tour dates are close to being sold out. Use Eventful as your source of information about the Fleet Foxes concert schedule and venue information.
